This specially formulated 8 week programme targets children of various age groups and aims to promote a healthy Emotional Intelligence (EQ) in children and teens. This programme is designed to provide children and teens with the right tools to be able to make healthy life choices and to provide them with life skills to overcome everyday challenges of the modern-day world. The programme will take place after school for 1 hour per week throughout the duration of a school term. Each child will be provided with a Zeal for Life® Kit of items for reinforcement of skills learnt in the session and further information for parents. • Week 1: Defining Emotional Intelligence • Week 2: Awareness of Feelings • Week 3: Healthy Lifestyle • Week 4: Communication • Week 5: Conflict Resolution • Week 6: Empathy • Week 7: Making choices • Week 8: Success in Life

For many young people, their parents' divorce marks a turning point in their lives, whether the divorce happened many years ago or is taking place right now. Parents’ divorce for many reasons and it is common for young people to think that their parents' divorce is somehow their fault. This workshop helps to show young people that their feelings of anger, frustration or sadness are normal and gives tips for getting through this emotional rollercoaster. The learning outcomes of this workshop include: • The true definition of divorce and clarifying any misconceptions • How to deal with negative feelings associated to the divorce • To get rid of guilt and self-blame • To be patient with parents where it is warranted • Techniques for moving forward in a positive way • To accept all family members, including step family members • To understand & validate their own thoughts and feelings and those of others • To actively choose a positive attitude • How to look after their body: Exercise, eating healthy, drinking water, getting enough sleep, staying safe • Become responsible for their own thoughts and feelings • To use Zeal Talk® which means that we speak to ourselves in such a way that we feel encouraged and excited
