This specially formulated 8 week programme targets children of various age groups and aims to promote a healthy Emotional Intelligence (EQ) in children and teens. This programme is designed to provide children and teens with the right tools to be able to make healthy life choices and to provide them with life skills to overcome everyday challenges of the modern-day world. The programme will take place after school for 1 hour per week throughout the duration of a school term. Each child will be provided with a Zeal for Life® Kit of items for reinforcement of skills learnt in the session and further information for parents. • Week 1: Defining Emotional Intelligence • Week 2: Awareness of Feelings • Week 3: Healthy Lifestyle • Week 4: Communication • Week 5: Conflict Resolution • Week 6: Empathy • Week 7: Making choices • Week 8: Success in Life

Many kids struggle with finding an outlet for their anger. You might sometimes find yourself as a parent wondering what's up with your child's attitude. One minute they are well-behaved and the next minute, they are raving little monsters! This builder workshop provides them with healthy alternatives to losing their temper. It also looks at what the outcome of uncontrolled emotions are. With the golden rule of not hurting yourself, others or things children take responsibility for their feelings of fear, frustration and irritation. The outcome of the workshop also looks at children becoming aware of the results when they push other peoples buttons. The learning outcomes of this anger workshop include: • Gaining an understanding of what ANGER means • Realizing that ANGER is an acceptable emotion if expressed appropriately • Understanding changes in the body which signal anger • Learning appropriate ways to express anger • Building a “Dealing with ANGER “ kit to use when angry
